Hello Dividend Friends! I hope you've had a great start to the new year! In today's blog post, I'm back with a double feature of Dividends in February 2022 and January 2022 and their contribution to my monthly cash flow. Let's go!

Dividends in January 2022

In 2020, due to the crash, I was able to put together a nice portfolio, which not only, but already has some stocks that regularly pay me a nice dividend. I would also like to use this blog series to report on dividend increases, decreases and cancellations, and how I deal with them.

January was a good month for the cashflow. There was a whopping 930,66 EUR in dividends. I mainly have IFN to thank for that, but the rest wasn't bad either! As always, the figures are neither gross, nor net, but somewhat mixed. For the US dividends, for example, 15% withholding tax has already been deducted. For dividends from UK companies, there is no withholding tax deduction.

  1. The India Fund
First place in January went to my closed-end fund The India Fund (IFN), which paid me the equivalent of 435,76 EUR net. The high payout was due to a special dividend.
  2. FS KKR
In second place is BDC FS KKR (FSK) with the equivalent of 60,74 EUR. The dividend payment is the last one for the time being, as I had sold FSK in the meantime.
  3. Altria
55,09 EUR dividend came from Altria (MO), which means 3rd place.
  4. VICI Properties
With VICI Properties (VICI) there is once again a REIT in the Top 5. It paid a quarterly dividend of the equivalent of 54,09 EUR.
  5. Owl Rock Capital
Last but not least, there was another distribution of a BDC in January. I had increased Owl Rock Capital (ORCC) among other things with the funds of the FSK sale. 47,24 EUR go into the money store!

There are many other and smaller dividends, which you can see in the screenshot above.

Dividends in February 2022

After an excellent January, February naturally didn't perform quite as well. But I am still satisfied with the result. This time there was 551,94 EUR in dividends. AT&T made a significant contribution to this!

  1. AT&T
In February, 1st place went to AT&T (T), which paid me the equivalent of 134,21 EUR net. In the future, the dividend will be lower due to the planned spin-off.
  2. Kinder Morgan
Pipeline operator Kinder Morgan (KMI) sent me the equivalent of 80,91 EUR in February, putting it in 2nd place.
  3. British American Tobacco
Tobacco is always in the top 5. Place 3 in February is therefore British American Tobacco with 64,13 EUR.
  4. Omega Healthcare Investors
In 4th place is Omega Healthcare Investors (OHI) with 59,10 EUR net. Here, a reduction of the dividend is expected again and again, but so far nothing has happened.
  5. Vodafone Group
Last but not least, this time another British stock. 44,42 EUR came from Vodafone Group PLC.

There are many other and smaller dividends, which you can see in the screenshot above.

My broker(s)

I have several brokers for my stocks, but the majority are German ones, so European readers of my blog sometimes cannot register there. As you may know I'm very transparent about the income I receive if you use one of my * affiliate or referral links. Most of the time there is a bonus for you, but never ever costs!

At Captrader, a German reseller of Interactive Brokers, I maintain my largest securities account. Here I can buy shares directly on the NYSE from as little as 1 US cent or at least 2 USD. German shares are also tradable from as little as 2€. Types of securities not tradable through other brokers, such as close-end funds, are also available there. I also do my options trading there.

If you register via my link*, you can also test Captrader quite easily with a demo account and play money. I receive for a demo account 20€ and another 50€, provided that an active account is set up and it was traded for 20€/USD.

I have several brokers for my stocks, but the majority are German ones, so European readers of my blog cannot register there. As you may know I'm very transparent about the income I receive if you use one of my * affiliate or referral links. Most of the time there is a bonus for you, but never ever costs!    Degiro is my second largest broker. A while ago they did a fusion with the German broker flatex and it's now the biggest broker in Europe. You can trade already from 0,50 EUR directly on the NYSE or other US stock exchanges. Also, I trade European options there.

If you use my link* and register an account on Degiro you get a refund of 20€ transaction credit. You only need to spend 20€ transaction credit within 3 months. If you do so, and only then, I have also the possibility to get a refund.

I've been with the German broker Trade Republic for a year now and they expand to Italy in the Netherlands! My savings plans for individual shares and ETFs have been running there for a short time. Free of charge! Otherwise, the trade is also quite cheap with 1 € fee for buying or selling securities. As a bonus you get a share/fractional share between 10€ and 200€ after your first investment!

If you use my Trade Republic link* I receive the same share/fractional share.
