Hello dear readers! With this blog post I want to give you again a short update regarding stock purchases in May 2021. This time it's all about my venture positions. Have fun reading!
Stock purchases May 2021
The cash build-up actually worked out quite well in May, which was partly due to the income from options trading. Nevertheless, I have invested a little bit, namely about 1.360 EUR in two stocks. One was a repurchase and I also added a new venture position to the portfolio.
The Trade Desk
The Trade Desk (TTD) has already been in a downward trend since December when the ATH was reached, like some other tech and growth stocks. At the end of April, the stock went down another 30% within 14 days and my initial price slowly came back into sight. I then decided to double my previous two shares and to add two more shares of TTD to my portfolio. The purchase price was not exactly the low point of the dip, but all in all quite ok. I bought the two new shares at 520,37 USD per share. So in total ~1.041 USD or the equivalent of ~856 EUR. TTD now has a weighting of about 1.60% in the stock portfolio.
Vulcan Energy Resources
While screening for new stocks, I came across Vulcan Energy Resources (6KO) back in March. The company, listed in Australia and headquartered in Perth and Karlsruhe, specializes in the extraction of carbon free lithium. The topic is overall very exciting as an investment idea. So I put 100 shares at 5,02 EUR into my portfolio, knowing that this is a certain hype and that the investment is also to be considered highly risky within my venture portfolio. Therefore, as always, no investment recommendation!
My broker(s)
I have several brokers for my stocks, but the majority are German ones, so European readers of my blog cannot register there.
