Dividends in February 2021
Because of the crash last year I had the chance to build a beautiful stock portfolio which distribute nice dividends onto my account. With this blog series I want to share with you how many dividends I receive, and also which companies increased/decreased/cut their dividends and how I handle that.
In February, I was paid 127,88 EUR in dividends, almost exactly the same as the month before. By the way, the figures are neither gross nor net, but somewhat mixed. In the case of US dividends, for example, 15% withholding tax has already been deducted. Dividends from British companies come without tax deduction.
- British American Tobacco
1st place in February goes to one of my three tobacco stocks, namely British American Tobacco with 20,26 EUR. So far I have run a savings plan at Trade Republic, but I will transfer all the full shares to Captrader. So there are fractional shares left, which will be saved again. The desired position size here is about 3.000 EUR. - Tanger Factory Outlet Centers
In 2nd place is Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, a REIT that seems to have recovered after the lows of last year. 19,43 EUR dividend still came from 156 shares, 56 were sold after the ex-dividend day with over 100% profit. I wrote about this in my stock purchases in January #2 post. - Vodafone Group
Vodafone comes in third at the equivalent of 18,19 EUR. I would like to have more shares here, but not at the current price. So something still has to happen there. Vantage Towers, the cell tower subsidiary, is expected to be listed on the Frankfurt stock exchange at the end of March. Currently, I assume that shares will be booked in. - AT&T
AT&T takes 4th place with 15,24 EUR, apparently unable to find a reasonable buyer for DirecTV. There is no other explanation for the current implementation. At least there is some cash left for debt reduction. - Abbvie
5th place goes to Abbvie with 13,97 EUR. Here, too, I would like to have more shares in the future.
There are many other and smaller dividends, which you can see in the screenshot above.
Dividend increases
- SAP SE declared a dividend increase from 1,58 EUR to 1,85 EUR per share (+17,1%)
- Coca-Cola declared a dividend increase of 1 Cent (wow haha) from 0,41 USD to 0,42 USD per share (+2,4%)
- Essex Property Trust minimally increasing their dividend from 2,0775 USD to 2,09 USD per share (+0,6%)
My broker(s)
I have several brokers for my stocks, but the majority are German ones, so European readers of my blog cannot register there.
